Flames Study
During a 2015 Art Residency at SUMMIT A.I.R., in Eden, Utah, I spent a month camping on Powder mountain. I camped at three different locations. At each place I made a little fire from the wood found around and took thousands of photos of the resulting flames each fire created. My goal was to see how different places, different wood, different energies, created different flames. From the large number of photos, I made a small selection and created triptychs. FLAMES STUDY is an wall installation featuring 12 triptychs, in 3 columns, with 3 audio recording of each fires, listened through High Fidelity Headphones from AUDEZE.
